The appearance of acrylic looks no different from plastic, in fact, acrylic is a special plastic, the two are very different. Acrylic is made from the polymerization of methyl methacrylate, and the raw material of plastic is monomer, usually synthesized by polymerization, condensation and other methods. Acrylic materials and plastic materials are so similar, how do we distinguish them? One: raw material packaging

At the time of sale, we found that some of the boards were acrylic materials, and both sides were glued together to prevent the acrylic board from being scratched during transportation. However, plastic boards usually do not use paper, because most plastic boards do not use paper. This way we can distinguish the two in the packaging.

Two: Transparency

The light transmittance of acrylic plate is very high, but the light transmittance of ordinary plastic is not as high as that of acrylic plate.

Three: Color

Because acrylic sheet has a high transparency, so its color brightness is very high, but usually the color of plastic is very poor, the two contrast can see the color of acrylic resin is more delicate.

Four: Strength

The acrylic sheet has a high strength and is not easy to bend significantly. However, the hardness of the plastic is still worse than that of the acrylic plate.
